Vintage Sta-Set is a line developed primarily for sailing - it is a double braid polyester rope with high strength, low stretch, water and UV resistance, and it stays comfortable in the hand indefinitely with very minimal care. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHardware: Every piece of hardware used in the Classic Leash is 316 Stainless Steel, chosen for its corrosion resistance and durability. We don't use brass, nickel-plated zinc, aluminum, etc. 316 Stainless Steel is the most expensive of the lot, but it is the best choice for structural hardware that is built to last in a harsh (salty!) environment for a long time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eClamps: The clamps are custom designed and produced in mahogany, and finished with walnut oil and beeswax. The rope is double braid, and each clamp secures the rope with two through-bolts per side.
